HUD announces $58.6 million in FY10 VASH voucher awards

 

On June 3, HUD announced the VASH voucher awards from the FY10 appropriations totaling $58.6 million to serve roughly 8,000 homeless veterans households. The VASH awards announced are part of a $75 million appropriation to support the needs of homeless veterans. HUD stated that they expect to announce a second round of funding for another 1,355 rental vouchers next month and an additional 400 project-based vouchers later this summer.
