TAC Receives New Funding to Help Communities Address Homelessness

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) recently awarded the Technical Assistance Collaborative, Inc. (TAC) $526,000 to assist states and local communities to meet the needs of homeless people, including chronically homeless individuals. Funded through HUD's Community Development Technical Assistance Programs, these funds represent 38% of the total Local Homeless TA funds and will be used to coordinate workshops and individualized direct support to homeless providers, housing agencies, Continuum of Care communities, state and local government, and social service agencies in 21 states across the nation. TAC's technical assistance will result in, the creation of additional units of permanent supportive housing, increased access to mainstream resources by homeless individuals and families, and improved efficiency in the administration of federal homeless resources.
