VA Releases 2009 CHALENG Report

 

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) recently released its annual Community Homelessness Assessment, Local Education and Networking Groups (CHALENG) Report. Over 16,500 people participated in the survey, with 65% of them being homeless or formerly homeless veterans. The report estimates that there were 107,000 homeless veterans in January, 2009.
