Current Policy Issues
New Section 811 Program Legislation - On April 10, Representatives Chris Murphy (D-CT ) and Judy Biggert (R-IL) introduced legislation to reform and modernize the Section 811 program.
Fiscal Year (FY) 2008 HUD Budget - On February
6, 2006, the Bush Administration released its propossced FY
2007 budget. The Section 811 Supportive Housing for People
with Disabilities Program is in jeopardy.
to oppose cuts to this valuable program.
TAC's Work in Louisiana Following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita - TAC and other national experts
are facilitating the development of a strategic housing plan for
housing for people with disabilities in New Orleans.
