TAC assists states and localities to design, implement, and evaluate strategies to increase access to integrated affordable housing, decrease homelessness, reduce reliance on institutional and restrictive settings, and promote effective affordable housing and community-based service system design.
Mental Health & Substance Use Systems
TAC supports and assists public managers and purchasers to
successfully plan and implement the design, financing, and
management of evidence-based and best practice mental health and
substance use services that promote community living and
person-centered recovery. TAC also develops guidance and strategic
planning for national and state mental health and substance use
system advocacy and trade groups on federal policies related to
community integration, health reform, and integrated care

Olmstead & Community Integration
TAC is a national leader in assisting states to develop and
implement innovative systems-level approaches to increase community
living options for people with disabilities that are consistent
with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the U.S. Supreme Court's
Olmstead decision.

Permanent Supportive Housing
TAC works at the federal, state, and local levels to design
systems-level strategies to substantially increase integrated
permanent supportive housing opportunities financed with mainstream
affordable housing and service system resources.

Health Reform
TAC provides analysis, planning, and technical assistance to
states, service providers, and advocacy groups on opportunities and
challenges within the Affordable Care Act (ACA), including changes
in Medicaid eligibility rules, the creation of health homes, the
integration of health and behavioral health, and rebalancing and
controlling long-term care costs. TAC also provides information and
analysis on emerging issues and opportunities related to the
implementation of health reform, including presentations at
national conferences, trainings, and the development and
publication of policy briefs.

Homelessness
TAC is a nationally recognized leader in helping state and local
systems with the planning, design, financing, and administration of
programs to effectively prevent and end homelessness among
individuals and families, including veterans.
