Sheryl Kataoka, M.D., M.S.H.S., is Assistant Professor in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of California, Los Angeles. She was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar from 1999 to 2001. She has been a member of the Latino Research Program Project since 2001 and the National Child Traumatic Stress Network since 2003. She received, in 2003, the American Psychiatric Associations Early Career Award. Building on her work developed through the MacArthur Network on Mental Health Policy Research, she is a recipient of an NIMH Career Development Grant to study quality improvement of school mental health services. Dr. Kataoka received her M.D. degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in 1993 and her M.S.H.S. degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Public Health in 2001.
