Assessing Needs and Maximizing Resources to End Homelessness in New York City

TAC assisted the New York City Coalition on the Continuum of Care (NYC CCoC) and New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) to evaluate its existing homeless assistance needs/programs and to identify best practice strategies to maximize its U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) resources to prevent and end homelessness. TAC identified potential program changes within the confines of HUD’s programmatic regulations for its homeless CoC programs, and worked with HPD and its existing HUD Shelter Plus Care programs to increase participation, identify unmet needs, and support system-wide resource development and allocation.
