Improving Behavioral Health Services & Supports for Children in Michigan

TAC, under subcontract to the Center for Health Care Strategies, provided subject matter expertise to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to support the state in meeting the requirements of the K.B. v. MDHHS Interim Agreement. This agreement was intended to establish a process to negotiate a settlement that would enable the state to improve its delivery of behavioral health services and supports to EPSDT-eligible children with mental and behavioral disorders, including children with a developmental disability, and to ensure that these beneficiaries receive all medically necessary supports and services as described in federal law.
