Integrating Rapid Rehousing into Coordinated Entry

TAC has worked with communities across the U.S., including Boston, Long Island, Denver, Contra Costa (CA) and the state of Maine, to help integrate their RRH programs and units into their coordinated entry (CE) design. TAC’s approach includes: Working directly with people with lived experience of homelessness to draft RRH talking points for CE assessors, in order to help participants in the assessment process make informed decisions about whether to pursue rapid rehousing. Standardizing RRH referral and outreach practices across systems to ensure low-barrier, successful enrollments. Facilitating multiple meetings with key stakeholders to understand dynamic prioritization and to develop procedures around RRH assessment strategies, vacancies, referrals, outreach, and denials.
