In September 2025, TAC was contracted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to help plan and facilitate a 1.5-day technical expert panel on persistent challenges in local communities’ response to homelessness among people with behavioral health conditions. The panel brought together national, state, and community leaders to shape guiding principles and offer best and promising practice recommendations that will inform SAMHSA’s future support for local efforts to implement appropriate treatment and supports. TAC assisted in meeting planning and in facilitating and summarizing panel discussions for SAMHSA leadership.
