Recommendations to Create and Improve Supportive Housing in Kentucky

TAC provided consultation to the Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities to assess affordable housing and supportive services available for individuals with SMI covered under the state’s Olmstead Settlement Agreement with the state Protection and Advocacy (P&A) organization, and to provide strategic recommendations to create and maximize permanent supportive housing in compliance with the Agreement. TAC performed a gaps analysis through stakeholder interviews and a review of existing data sources on the availability of affordable housing to meet demand for the state’s settlement population and the array of services available to support class members in housing. TAC prepared a report containing recommendations for creating and maximizing permanent supportive housing for the state’s settlement population.
