Reimbursement Strategies
Through the following services, TAC assists in designing and implementing reimbursement mechanisms that incentivize the conversion of traditional housing and service models to evidence-based and best practices:
- Designing systems for contracting geared toward quality, cost efficiency, and best practices
- Introducing housing and service models that facilitate movement from inpatient and residential treatment settings into permanent supportive housing
- Identifying opportunities for redirection of funds from deep-end placements to community-based approaches
- Promoting statutory, regulatory, and financing approaches for states and counties that redirect resources away from under-performing services to those known to produce positive outcomes
- Designing strategies to blend or braid dollars across multiple funding streams to maximize efficiency
- Designing innovative financing models, including value-based purchasing and coordinating resources to best serve eligible populations
