Medicaid is the primary payer in the United States for the long-term services and supports (LTSS) that are needed by millions of people who are elderly or have disabilities or chronic illnesses, and who live in a range of institutional and home- and community-based settings.

TAC helps states align policy and funding among Medicaid, disability, housing, and other systems to expand opportunities for people who rely on long-term services and supports to live and work in the home- and community-based settings of their choice.
