Under a contract with California’s Department of Housing and Community Development launched in 2019, TAC provided 24 mostly rural and suburban communities with capacity-building assistance to enhance their homeless crisis response systems. This included helping the state to provide Continuums of Care with a monitoring toolkit that addresses federal and state funding dedicated to programs serving people experiencing homelessness, allowing for a single, comprehensive monitoring review. The toolkit provides guidance on risk assessments, monthly reporting, and remote desk monitoring.
