On behalf of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, TAC led a two-part, web-based training for both Local Management Entity – Managed Care Organization staff and service providers on how the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program is administered by local public housing agencies. Participants gained a thorough understanding of HCV eligibility, application, screening/denials, and waiting list processes, and were guided through an overview of how to use a reasonable accommodation request to support HCV applicants throughout this process. The training was offered in two 90-minute webinar sessions that combined a specialized presentation followed by a question & answer session.
