On behalf of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, TAC led a two-part web-based training for both LME/MCO and service provider staff on developing a better understanding of how the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program was administered by local public housing agencies. The training helped participants develop a thorough understanding of HCV eligibility, application, screening/denials, and waiting list processes, and were guided through an overview of how to use a reasonable accommodation request to support HCV applicants throughout this process. The training was offered as two 90-minute webinar sessions that combined a specialized presentation followed by a question & answer session.
