Tyler Sadwith has worked for over eight years on advancing strategies to help states introduce behavioral health system reforms and address complex policy, operational, and strategic challenges. Prior to joining TAC, as a Technical Director for the Center for Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Services at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), he oversaw reviews of Section 1115 substance use disorder (SUD) demonstration applications and helped implement the agency’s opioid strategy. Tyler is supporting several states in the design of policy and practice transformation approaches to increase access to medication-assisted treatment for Medicaid beneficiaries. He is an expert in federal Medicaid behavioral health policy and operations, and has collaboratively engaged key stakeholders and officials at every level of government in the design, implementation, and evaluation of policy, programs, and cross-system initiatives.
