The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)/Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Project Demonstration is a collaboration between the departments of Justice and Housing and Urban Development to fund safe and supportive housing for women living with HIV/AIDS who are experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, or stalking. As lead TA provider to eight demonstration sites, TAC has worked with partners to explain the details of the HOPWA and transitional housing programs and to provide peer-to peer-learning, workshops, webinars, and both in-person and remote direct TA.
