TAC provided consultation to support the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) in convening a high-level Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Task Force to facilitate the development of actionable bipartisan policy proposals. TAC conducted in-depth research and analysis, building consensus among experts and stakeholders on federal policy recommendations related to delivery system redesign, safe and secure social media use, and prevention. TAC helped draft federal policy recommendations with input from experts in the field and Task Force members; participated in Task Force meetings; and refined draft recommendations based on Task Force members’ feedback, while also supporting BPC staff in responding to technical assistance requests from Congress and the executive branch for legislative proposals, proposed regulations, and other projects.
TAC consultants contributed to the development of three issue briefs:
Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Task Force: Safe and Secure Social Media Use
Early Action for Youth Mental Health and Substance Use: Prevention, Identification, and Support
