In 2024, TAC facilitated an assessment of housing needs for people in Boston living with HIV/AIDS in the city’s federal Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program region. TAC staff conducted interviews and focus groups with providers and consumers of HIV housing and services, consulted with other funding providers including the Ryan White program, and analyzed multiple data sources. The assessment outlined recommendations related to funding allocations, data systems, system-level partnerships, referral pathways, housing development strategies, and workforce capacity.
