Under a contract with the Louisiana Housing Corporation, TAC staff served as housing liaisons for the state’s COVID-19 disaster declaration. Working with the Department of Children and Family Services, the Louisiana Department of Health, the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Balance of State Continuum of Care, and local Continuum of Care agencies, TAC helped to protect over 2,500 households experiencing homelessness and to successfully transition almost 70% of these households to permanent housing.
