Supportive Housing for Women with HIV/AIDS Experiencing Violence

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)/Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Project Demonstration is a collaboration between the Department of Justice and the department of Housing and Urban Development to fund organizations to provide safe and supportive housing for women living with HIV/AIDS who are experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, or stalking. As lead TA provider to the eight demonstration sites, TAC has worked with partners to explain the details of the HOPWA and transitional housing programs and to provide peer-to peer-learning, workshops, webinars, and both in-person and remote direct TA.
