Ashley Kerr, M.S.W., M.P.H.

Ashley Kerr, M.S.W., M.P.H., of Trellis Consulting, has 14+ years of experience in clinical social work, program planning, implementation, and management. She served as Director of Programs for Collaborative Solutions, a national technical assistance (TA) provider, from 2018 to 2020, where she led the strategic direction of the organization’s program areas. From 2007 to 2017, Kerr oversaw the Affordable and Rural Housing Program at Collaborative Solutions; in this role she provided training and TA to nonprofit service providers, governments, and municipalities across the U.S. to improve and increase housing and services for vulnerable populations. Kerr also facilitated planning sessions to address housing gaps in rural areas and brokered partnerships between rural service providers and affordable housing developers. Her role included oversight of the coordination and advocacy efforts of the Low Income Housing Coalition of Alabama (LIHCA), a statewide organization dedicated to increasing affordable housing resources for Alabamians living in poverty. Prior to her work at Collaborative Solutions, Kerr was the Adult Program and Aftercare Coordinator for Bradford Health Services, a substance abuse treatment provider, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She earned an MSW and MPH from Columbia University where her primary areas of study included social policy, advocacy, health promotion and disease prevention.
