Homeless Crisis Response Capacity-Building in California

Under a contract with California’s Department of Housing and Community Development launched in 2019, TAC provided 24 mostly rural and suburban communities with capacity-building assistance to enhance their homeless crisis response systems. The range of assistance provided includes help developing strategic plans to end homelessness; coordinated entry evaluations and recommendations for improvement; disaster preparedness plans; and developing system maps to right-size outreach, prevention, diversion, rapid rehousing, and permanent supportive housing programs.
