As many states worked to implement Medicaid options for mobile crisis intervention services provided by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA), they were exploring opportunities to maximize Medicaid. With the support of the California Health Care Foundation and Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies, TAC facilitated a webinar on “Implementing Effective Medicaid-Supported Mobile Crisis Services,” which reviewed effective approaches and addressed common questions regarding financing and reimbursement strategies, standards and service definitions, and how to effectively track and evaluate outcomes. The webinar was developed by TAC in coordination with the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors, the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors, and the National Association of Medicaid Directors.
